Gowan Company Announces Launch of SedgeHammer+ for Nutsedge Control

Yuma, Arizona (June 16, 2011)--Gowan Company, LLC announces the launch of SedgeHammer+Ž turf herbicide for nutsedge control. SedgeHammer+ offers a unique product concept in a more convenient packaging size while maintaining the same efficacy that the market has grown accustomed to with the SedgeHammerŽ brand name. SedgeHammer+ is labeled for use on cool and warm season turfgrasses, established woody ornamentals and fallow areas.

SedgeHammer+ contains a dry, non-ionic surfactant in the formulation, eliminating the need for additional additives when mixing. The built-in surfactant will reduce confusion for the consumer and ensure great results when treating for nutsedge.

SedgeHammer+ is being advertised with its easy three step Pour, Mix, Spray application process. One packet of SedgeHammer+ will treat an area of up to 1,000 square feet and is rainfast within 4 hours.

SedgeHammer+ has a federal EPA registration and is currently registered in 39 states. The following states have pending state registrations: CA, NY, MT, WY, UT, CO, NM, ND, VT and ME.
