This presentation will introduce to consultants, growers, and others involved in sorghum production the up and coming herbicide resistant technology in sorghum that will provide the opportunity to control grass weeds post-emergence. A background of the resistant sorghum development will be discussed. Additionally, stewardship principles to preserve the technology and suggestions to optimize weed control will be covered. This presentation is not intended to be all inclusive but to provide an introduction to the herbicide-resistance traits and some management considerations prior to the release of this new technology.
