Summary:
Data collection equipment must be calibrated to effectively measure trial results. Data inaccuracy and handling are particular problems in less controlled situations such as on-farm trials. This presentation examines the basics of sampling, equipment calibration, and data management. Pitfalls associated with failure to properly calibrate equipment are illustrated along with a checklist of operations that will improve data accuracy.
